After 19 years at Drivetime and over 30 years in Professional golf I am pleased to inform you I will be moving a couple of miles and taking on a new role as director of coaching at the True Fit Golf Centre, Penketh , Warrington at the beginning of December.
During my years at Drivetime I have seen many changes and made some long lasting friendships with so many nice people and hopefully as my move is only local I hope we will continue that friendship. This decision has not been taken lightly after many happy years and memories at Drivetime since being involved from the first day in 1991 and establishing a golf school synonymous with a reputation for quality tuition. Drivetime senior Pros Jon Haines and Daniel Martinez Perez will continue that tradition and I wish them and everyone at Drivetime continued success. My new role at what is set to become one of the North’s premier golf facilities will allow me to continue to coach golfers from all over the region whilst at the same time continue my magazine work and some European Tour coaching.
Over the last ten years from a background of golf club assembly for leading manufacturers the True Fit Golf Centre has established a top quality golf range, golf store and bespoke custom made club fitting service. In keeping with True Fits progressive reinvestment program, each range bay has just been refitted with the very latest Power Tees, this complements the opening of the 18 hole golf course and current work on a par 3 Academy course and short game areas.
A new highly competitive fully stocked purpose built golf superstore plus club testing bays are included in the new plans for spring along with cafe bar dining areas, locker rooms and society meeting rooms.
Personally I am very excited that my passion for providing expert coaching to people of all skill levels and ages will integrate with True Fits commitment to provide a first class golfing centre offering everything the serious and recreational golfer need in one place.
I will be working alongside True Fits' highly experienced PGA Professional Steve Holden, and together with over 50 years of collective coaching experience between us at every level we are confident we can offer genuine qualified game improvement advice.
My apologies for the swift change to my teaching location and not being able to provide you with more advance notice but may thank you very much for your previous support and loyalty. I hope to see you again soon, please feel free to visit the centre and take advantage of the three discount promotions that may be off interest to you.
