Robbo Itching To Prove Himself On Tour
February 2011

James RobinsonStar pupil James Robinson acquitted himself respectably in his first Challenge Tour event at the Gujurat Kenvsille Challenge in Ahmedabad, India.

Pictured here at the True Fit Golf Centre for some fine tuning before his first event in mid January  James was swinging really well despite limited opportunity to practice fully because of all the snow and poor weather.

Other than some subtle changes to achieve a slightly fuller backswing turn plus long standing goal of improved leg action/pivot and spine angle through impact, James was striking it really pure as you can see from the video here.

Ultimately, finishing a creditable 13th in India, where the event was won for the first time by a local player GuranJeet Bhullar , James had a solid performance although the travelling time, diet new environment took its toll on James’ feel round the green. He accumulated more birdies than the ultimate winner but they were cancelled out by the odd poor 3 putt.

Looking forward after some match practice with his Stable mates from Chubby Chandlers ISM management group James is fired up and ready for the next event in South America. Watch this space this season as the Challenge Tour provides the springboard for European Tour success next year.
