James Robinson, former England team member, Lytham Trophy winner and only amateur ever win a Europro event earlier this season at Slaley Hall is all set to secure his tour card having now turned professional and joining Chubby Chandlers stable.
Having won through his stage one qualifying at Dundonald Links Scotland finishing 6th he moves onto second stage at Costa Belana Spain.
Preparing by playing in the Challenge Tours Egyptian Open, he made the cut and played all four rounds in his first professional event then competed in the High Five event in Murcia playing respectable golf there too. Having spent some time recently with him working on his short game he really feels up and ready for the prospect of his first Tour School assault. James is tall and powerful with a great looking swing which we have refined each season and now he can hold his own in the company of any world class player, watch this space the next few weeks!
