Martyn Hamer, former England Boys team member and son of one of Lancashires most capped amateurs Steve Hamer started working on his game with Adrian in May 08.
After some quite big swing changes, improved mental toughness and changed practise routines Martyn has continued to improve with flashes of brilliance as many of his low scoring rounds show.
In May 09 Martyn finished second in the Northern Open at Spey Valley, Aviemore against a strong field of very experienced fellow PGA Professionals.
With continued momentum Martyn will compete in Europro, regional and Challenge Tour events with his goal on ultimately securing his full European Tour Card.

Northern Open Spey Valley 2nd (See below)
Craig Lee eased to victory in the Northern Open at Spey Valley and then revealed the triumph could save his season.
The 32-year-old from Stirling strung together closing
day rounds of 73 and 68 for a seven-under aggregate
of 281 and coasted to a five-stroke win over
Manchester's Martyn Hamer.
Lee, who played on the European Tour circuit last
year, currently leads the EPD Tour's Order of Merit and
was desperate to land the £2,700 prize in Aviemore so
he could fund a return to the German-based circuit and
defend his spot at the top of the rankings.
"It was essential that I finished in the top-five at
least," he said. "But to win is huge. My plans for the rest of the year
were a bit up in the air but the money now allows me
to get back out to Germany and compete which is crucial
as the top-five on that Order of Merit get promoted
to the Challenge Tour."
Lee, who led by one from Edinburgh's Mark Kerr at
halfway, was still a stroke in front after 54-holes but the
former Scottish Assistants' champion surged away in
the final round after an early thrust which left him fourunder
through five holes."It's not the biggest prize I've won but it's my biggest
win in terms of the history of this event," added Lee,
who joins a list of past winners which includes Alastair
Forsyth, Brian Barnes and John Panton."Some great names have won this and it's an honour
for me."
Runner-up Hamer signed off with a 70 and a 72 for
286 while another Englishman, Steve Parry of Bolton,
shot a 67 and a 72 to grab third on 288.
Kerr sagged to a closing 75 and slipped back into a share of fourth on 289 with David Orr and Sean Doherty. |
