April 2008
Top sports psychologist Dr Karl Morris took time away from his busy European Tour and lecturing schedule to share his thoughts with two packed evening events organised for students of Adrian at Drivetime Warrington.
The popular events aimed at any player improving the way they manage their emotions and mental control in play and in practise proved a huge success by all who attended.
Karl discussed many scenarios faced by the aspiring club golfer during a round and strategies of how to deal with these pressure situations. He also went on to share tips on how to practice correctly rather than just bash balls along with various games a player can conduct to measure their performance and improvement on a weekly basis.
Many of the techniques used are the same Karl uses with many of the Tour Players he helps. The following week proved invaluable for Ryder Cup Star Graeme McDowell when Karl accompanied him to Augusta and the US Masters with Graeme finishing tied 17th and the highest placed European in the event.
