As the adverts says, If Carlsberg Made golf courses? - they would probably be like this one. The Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links is reputed to be one of the most spectacular locations anywhere on the planet and yes it truly is.

Adrian and son Matthew were entrants into the exclusive Cleveland Invitational Pro Am event along with many other partnerships they enjoyed playing over the fabulous course. As part of the event David Howell played over the course the day before the tournament and Sergio and his Dad just happened to be there enjoying the venue for a break and adding to the list of other world class players(Woods, O’Meara, Duval and Stewart) who have enjoyed the pilgrimage to this very special course.


The practice day the Course was bathed in sunshine but sadly the day of the event 75 mph winds and rain made the 260 euro green fee/a round course almost unplayable. The world’s biggest Ocean going liner of it’s time the Lusitania was wrecked a few miles off the coast and it’s not difficult to see why. But this is one place if you get an invite to play you must take and experience the striking landscape and of course the Irish hospitality.
